Artist Leslie Hewitt, cinematographer Bradford Young and producer
Karin Chien, with the support of the Menil Collection, the Museum of
Contemporary Art Chicago, and the Des Moines Art Center, have
developed a series of short silent (non-linear) film vignettes titled:
Untitled (Structures) 2012. Hewitt and Young explore mid-century
civil rights era photographic, topographical and psychological
landscapes through a contemporary lens, exposing the tension between still photography and the cinematic experience of moving images.
An interactive iPad app, developed for Independent Television Service (ITVS), VISION MACHINE is based on Greg Pak's graphic novel, commissioned by the Ford Foundation in support of the Creative Commons Act.
In the year 2061, three friends grapple with revolutionary change when Sprout Computers releases the most visionary piece of personal technology ever created. The latest sci-fi mindbender from writer Greg Pak ("Planet Hulk") and penciller R.B. Silva ("Jimmy Olsen").
The Chinatown Film Project tackles Chinatown's elusiveness and its stereotyped representations by constructing new images for the viewer. The project starts locally, where we ask ten of New York's most exciting filmmakers to present their unique visions of this global icon.
